 Penny Red stamps (1938) Geo. VI AND Geo. V Penny Reds (1930) AND halfpenny green 1911 & 1914 worth ££ ?? I think the green ones are 2 different Monarch's. Could one be Edward VII ? One definitely looks like Geo V (1914) but the one postmark Aug 8 1911 looks like different image ?? Dad gave me a small suitcase years ago and am emigrating soon so really having to declutter. Never opened it before as he said to wait as I'd know when time was right to open it. It's been in loft for years and I have today opened it. V old books Some v old Victorian curling tongs in wooden box with makers name address etc coins, and over 100yrs of ephemora with stamps - a real social history. Many stamps various dates cancelled with postmarks showing early dates - are these worth anything as I'm not a collector so don't want to let them go for say a fiver ........ any advice please ? Grateful thanks in advance to ALL answerers. Sorry to disappoint you on the stamps you mention, they are not valuable (and they are not penny reds, which are Victorian) but so much more information is needed e.g. used or unused, watermark, condition, number of perforations etc, before a true assessment can be made. You may have more chance with the coins, and certainly if you also have old banknotes. Keep any old postcards and envelopes which have been stamped and used, they will fetch more from collectors.
